Portable device for cryotherapy (cold therapy) and thermotherapy (heat
therapy). The device is equipped with a head of 75 mm which
is suitable for both applications.
Cryotherapy uses very low temperatures for anaesthetic (pain
treatment), haemostatic and anti-inflammatory effects. Significant analgesic
results are achievable through the direct action of the energy applied
to the sensitive nerve fibres.
Thermotherapy locally raises the temperature
in the treated areas, causing vasodilatation, vascularisation, and increased
transport of oxygen to the tissues, better metabolism and quicker elimination
of catabolic waste products.
The thermo-electric module in the head generates
controlled and dosed quantities of heat or cold, ensuring precise and
constant temperature during the entire session. The therapist selects
the most indicated temperature and treatment duration (both indicated
on the display) according to the pathology and the kind of problem.
The Cryos Card is powered by the mains or by an internal rechargeable
battery.
