Activ
2004/06 is a motor driven device for
a range of motion exercise for the legs, arms and upper body. The built-in
motor moves the legs in a manner similar to that of bicycle riding. The
motor helps to maintain a steady, soft rotation, without exertion, whether
the joints are flexed of fully extended. Passive exercising preserves mobility,
is very relaxing and stimulating, and has effects on the metabolic mechanism,
blood circulation, the strength of tendons and ligaments, muscles. Active
training builds up the muscles.
The user can choose between a variety of exercise and muscle training:
| • |
passive exercise |
| • |
during passive exercise one can accelerate
the pedals by muscular force without damaging the motor |
| • |
isometric exercise by choosing a low speed
and attempting to brake the movement by muscular force |
| • |
active, ergometric training, with the motor
turned off |
Recommended for
| • |
multiple sclerosis |
| • |
para- and tetraplegia |
| • |
thrombosis and dependent oedema |
| • |
muscular atrophy |
| • |
arthrosis |
| • |
Parkinson’s disease |
| • |
bladder and urinary tract infections |
| • |
weak circulatory system |
| • |
metabolism and digestive problems |
Characteristics of the standard version
| • |
pedal radius: the distance of the pedal
radius can easily be adjusted |
| • |
pedal setting: the distance between the
pedals can easily be adjusted and ensures proper therapy for adults
and children |
| • |
remote control with optical feedback |
| • |
6 stages of adjustment for motor power,
from 2 to 20 kg |
| • |
speed adjustable from 0 to 60 rpm |
| • |
selection of pedal rotation (forward/backward,
automatically every 70 seconds or at any time wanted) |
| • |
automatic fixed position
of the pedals, enables the user to place the legs comfortably into
the pedals |
| • |
leg or arm and upper body
exerciser can be chosen by remote control |
| • |
sophisticated electronic
circuit automatically checks itself and ensures more safety for the
user |
| • |
passive as well as active
exercise is assured |
| • |
protection disks, prevents
clothing being tangled during the movement |
Options
| 25425 - |
remote control with display
and big push buttons instead of the normal remote control |
| 25426 - |
electronic step in help,
stops the left or right pedal at his lowest point, for the most ideal
step in height |
| 25428 - |
adult foot pedals, upholstered
with soft material, with Velcro fixation, shoe size from 37 to 48 |
| 25429 - |
children foot pedals,
can be altered in length and width, with sturdy secure grip of the
feet of children with strong spasm |
| 25430 - |
ACS - anti-spasm control
- recognizes spasm. If a spasm occurs during exercise, the motor stops
directly. After a few seconds, the motor starts and reverses the rotation. |
| 25432 - |
handlebar, adjustable
in height ensuring a safe and comfortable posture |
| 25433 - |
leg guidance, important
for patients with reduced leg strength, adjustable in length |
| 25434 - |
leg guidance with integrated
joint, provides a correct leg movement of the ankle joints, adjustable
in length |
| 25435 - |
children leg guidance
with integrated joint, especially upholstered with soft material |
| 25438 - |
TCJ-Unit for effective
therapy of the Achilles heels, the ankle joint is stretched or eased
by each pedal rotation, the ankle joint movement increases |
| 25439 - |
active arm trainer, advisable
for patients with enough strength |
| 25442 - |
motor driven arm therapy
set for active and passive exercising (only in combination with art.
25433 or 25444) with adaptable radius degree of arm rotation. All motion
and remote control functions of the leg exerciser apply also for the
arm therapy set. Choice between bar grips and arm shell guidance. |
| 25443 - |
tubular bar grips covered
with a soft grip material and a width of 18 cm |
| 25444 - |
arm shell guidance with
adjustable distance between the shells, sturdy shaft with a spherical
socket. During motion the arm shells are not rigid due to a spring
suspension and the shells are constantly positioned horizontally, this
is important for users with weak musculature. |
| 25445 - |
anti tilt unit, prevents
the wheelchair to tilt backwards during exercising |
| 25446 - |
timer for control of therapy
